This is gonna be long but I need to share my experience! I've been coming here with my dog for a few years now and they've always been extremely accommodating with my dog's vet anxiety. I brought her in a few weeks ago to take a look at a new bump on her leg and something must have spooked her more than other visits and she was too anxious to be "inspected" by the vet. Klay was PHENOMENAL. I was feeling bad for my scared dog and so embarrassed that she was acting so strangely and had peed everywhere (sorry!), but Klay not only showed kindness and empathy to my dog, but to me as well. He told me that he didn't want to further traumatize my dog by pushing her past her limits and he comforted me about the situation. They sent us home with anxiety meds for her so we could try again in a few days. We came back with her anxiety medicine (which worked like a charm) and this time, they gave us two ladies (my dog can be a little skeptical around men, how rude). I forgot to ask their names because I was so anxious about it all but they were ALSO PHENOMENAL! They both sat on the ground with Primrose as she adjusted and calmed down, they gave her lots of love and peanut butter, and were able to give her shots and check out the bump. It turns out that the bump was a mast cell tumor. They explained the next steps and we scheduled a surgery. I was incredibly nervous about the surgery because of the tumor and of how Primrose would handle it, but again, all of the staff was kind, communicative, empathetic, and clearly passionate experts in their field. Klay was with us again before and after the surgery. Klay is LITERALLY MEANT TO BE in the vet field. He talked me through every step of the process with such grace and kindness, I couldn't have asked for better help! After Primrose came out of surgery, she was quite anxious so she got her own room to recover in (I'm not totally convinced she's faking anxiety for extra peanut butter and perks like whole rooms loool). Klay talked me through her recovery process, her medicine routine, and things to keep an eye on and when to return to get her sutures removed. He also helped a person in the parking lot safely get her animals into the office while we discussed aftercare, so he's also good at multitasking! I just received the results and they were able to get all of the tumor removed and helped talk to me about how to deal with this in the future. I genuinely can't put into words how grateful I am for EVERYBODY at Windsor Park Vet - front desk staff, vets, techs, surgeons, everybody is kind, knowledgeable, empathetic, and passionate about their work. Your pets are in SUCH great hands here! <3 :) (Oh also I took my cat here and they were great with her as well but she's so ridiculously chill that she was the easy pet.)
